Volunteering FAQs

  • What will be my responsibilities as a volunteer?
    • Responsibilities vary based on where you’re stationed. Nonetheless, generally responsibilities will be to help set up the rooms, direct attendees to the appropriate areas, make sure speakers are prepared and have water, loading presentations, social media ambassadors, and possible provide general information about the conference.
  • Will I be able to talk to the guests and exchange contact information?
    • Of course. We want all the volunteers to use his experience as an opportunity to learn some valuable information and meet awesome people.
  • Do I have to volunteer the entire day or are there shifts?
    • We prefer volunteers be available the entire day of the conference 9am – 5pm. We will still consider volunteers who can only commit to part of the day if we can’t find enough full-time volunteers.
  • Can I choose where I volunteer?
    • We will definitely consider each volunteer’s preference for where they want to volunteer, but we can’t promise you’ll get the exact spot you want if there’s a surplus of demand. Nonetheless, the roles, places, and responsibilities of the volunteers will likely change and alternate throughout the day, giving everyone a comprehensive experience.
  • Will I need to know anything or be expected to learn any material before I volunteer?
    • We do expect all volunteers to be familiar with the content on our frequently asked questions web page so that they can answer general questions asked by attendees.
  • How will volunteers be compensated?
    • Volunteers will have access to the entire conference, including nighttime events for the day that they volunteer
  • How will it benefit me? What will I learn?
    • This is an opportunity to interact with the top influencers in media and entertainment innovation.
  • Do I have to have any experience of knowledge of the media, entertainment, and technology industries to be a volunteer?
    • No experience is necessary. However, we are looking for people who have a passion and an interest in these fields to volunteer.
  • I’m not 21 yet. Can I volunteer?
    • Yes. Although you will not be able to participate in any of the events where alcohol is served.
